The Platinum Kamado operates via charcoal and/or wood chunks, therefore collecting and disposing of the leftover ash were our top design priority. The NewAge kamado comes with a patent-pending ash bucket that collects almost all the ash. Once the kamado is cool to touch, you can easily lift it up and dump the ash. The exterior surface of the kamado can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Please refer to the ?Safety and Care" & "Cleaning the Ash" section of the Installation guide for more information.

The main body of the Platinum Kamado is made from a high-temperature resistant ceramic and all the metal components are made of Stainless-Steel 304.

The Platinum Kamado is designed for easy assembly by the end user and there is a step-by-step procedure provided in the Installation guide. However, since the kamado is a very heavy product, it is recommended to have a helping hand while moving it around and installing it onto the cabinets or the cart.

The Platinum Kamado comes with a Charcoal stirring rod and Grate lifter gripper to avoid any burn hazards and for better handling of the Charcoal.

For a healthy cooking result and higher efficiency, NewAge recommends only lump charcoal and natural dry wood chunks.

The handles and the Kamado cart side tables are made of premium teakwood. Since this is natural wood, it is recommended that you apply teak oil every six months for better look preservation and longevity of the wooden parts.
